Getting to Waterside Festival

The event will be taking place in the canalside public space, surrounded by Aylesbury Waterside Theatre, Waitrose, Travelodge and Bucks new university’s aylesbury campus.

By Bike

Aylesbury is one of the original six national cycling towns and has a great network of cycle routes allowing you to cycle in to the town centre from a number of nearby areas and villages.

Once in the town centre you will find over 250 free cycle parking stands, including at The Exchange and University Campus Aylesbury Vale (close to the Waterside Festival action!), making it a quick, cheap, convenient and healthy travel option!

By Road

Aylesbury is easily accessible by car from other nearby towns and cities including Oxford, Bicester, Buckingham and High Wycombe.

Driving from the M25 – leave the motorway at junction 20 and take the A41 to Aylesbury & Hemel Hempstead. Follow signs to Aylesbury and, once in Aylesbury, to the town centre.

Driving from the M40 – leave the motorway at junction 8a and take the A418 to Aylesbury. Follow signs to Aylesbury and, once in Aylesbury, to the town centre.

By Canal

In true Waterside Festival spirit, join us for a day of fun by travelling via the waterway.
Turn off the main Grand Union line at Marsworth and enjoy a leisurely trip down the Aylesbury Arm. During the Festival weekend there will be no visitor mooring space within the town basin, however after 14 easy single locks down you will find Aylesbury Canal Society at Circus Field Basin, where a warm welcome will await you. Aylesbury Canal Society offers 2 weeks free mooring & you will have use of their fantastic facilities!

Booking in advance is advised via e-mail: or phone: 01296 252101. More information can be found by visiting the ACS website
